The idea for ILS was born while helping a large organization launch a new division under extreme time pressure and high expectations.

Realizing that having a flexible team who could be on the ground quickly, that could relentlessly focus on getting the job done, was something the sector needed and exactly where we shined. After founding ILS with that core idea of leading socially driven organizations through complex transitions, the business has grown to be able to offer a full compliment of rapid, responsive, and flexible executive services. ILS has played a transformative role with nonprofits and social enterprises across the country and around the world undergoing shifts of leadership and/or strategy. We have the expertise, experience and partners to lead strategic realignments and to provide hands-on leadership during complex transitions.

A pioneer in the Interim Executive field, Michelle holds an MBA from UCLA and brings a potent combination of expertise - including two decades in the tech industry and a dozen years in nonprofit leadership - to organizations doing good in the world. She has worked throughout the United States and internationally in the for-profit, nonprofit and social enterprise sectors.
